Pindrop Golf ("Pindrop," "we," "us," or "our") is a golf course rating, ranking, and discovery app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can contact us.

Profile information, such as golfer type, handicap, home course, friends, follows, and public profile activity.
Golf activity, such as courses you rate, rank, review, recommend, save, or mark as played.

Location access, if you allow it, for nearby course discovery and map display.

How we use information

We use information to:

Provide core app features, including profiles, ratings, rankings, lists, maps, recommendations, and social activity.
Help users discover courses and see relevant course information.
Maintain course data and review submitted course corrections.

Improve app performance, reliability, safety, and user experience.

What other users can see

Pindrop is a social golf app. Signed-in users may be able to see your username, profile, course ratings, rankings, reviews, lists, follows, and social activity. Your account email is not shown on your public profile.

Location information

If you grant location permission, Pindrop may use your location to sort or recommend nearby courses. Your coordinates are processed on your device and are not stored in your Pindrop account or sent to Pindrop's database. You can disable location access in your device settings.

Third-party services

Pindrop may use service providers to operate the app, including hosting, authentication, database, maps, app distribution, and related infrastructure. These providers process information only as needed to support the app.

Data retention

We keep information as long as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain app integrity. You may contact us to request help with account or data questions.

Safety and moderation

Users can report content and block other golfers. Reports include the reported content, reporting account, reason, and moderation status. We use this information to investigate concerns and enforce our Community Guidelines.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your Pindrop account from the Account actions section in the app's Settings screen. You may also contact us at pindropgolfapp@gmail.com for assistance.

Children

Pindrop is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date above.
